If he can play this year, how about:

Gagne - Giroux - Briere
Hartnell-Carter - Nodl
Pyorala- Richards-Laperriere
Carcillo- Powe - Asham

OR

Gagne - Richards - Laperriere
Hartnell - Carter - Nodl
Pyorala - Giroux - Briere
Carcillo - Powe - Asham

Seriously, I don't see whats so bad with those lines. If your going to roll 3 scoring lines sacrifices need to be made. I wish they would just sign a cheap third line center like Bonk, but at this point I doubt they will.

I'm also under the impression that they would play a 1a, 1b and a 2nd line, 4th line

Sounds like the name of a car dealership - Pyorala Toyota.

I'm under the impression they roll a 1a, 1b, 3rd and 4th line where the 3rd is weak at best.

Gagne-Richards-Briere
Hartnell-Carter-Giroux
Carcillo-Lappy-Nodl
Matsumoto-Powe-Asham

Maroon, Pyorala, Ross all get looks.

JVR to first line AHL.

We then have by far the worst bottom 6 in the league. Quite frankly that bottom six is the worst I have ever seen. No offence. I think everyone's worries would be fixed if they would just sign Bonk or an equivalent for the third line center posistion, someone good at faceoffs. If Lappy is supposed to be our third line center then I have lost faith in Homer.

I think Nodl would be a great fit on Carter's wing. Everyone said how Lupul wasn't used well with Carter, and that he was just banging in rebounds. Whats different with Giroux. Nodl can keep up with Carter and seemed to have some decent chemistry with him last year. He could probably hit 30-40 points playing on Carter's wing all year.

ok ill give this a shot

Gagne-Richards-Briere
Hartnell-Carter-Giroux
Powe--Laperriere-Pyorala
Carcillo-Ross-Asham

probably could switch Pyorala and Laperriere.

I always found it strange how much Finish sounds like Japanese. For example, Mika is a common given name for men in Finland and women in Japan.

However, in the above you are missing out on the Umlauts on Pyörälä's name which make the a sound more like e. Try to pronounce it like "ray lay" without sliding off into the y in each word. The videos posted earlier should give a good hint if you can pick out the name.

On the other hand, the a in Toyota is pronounced like the "u" in english, like in Russia. I have to say though that it is english and not the other languages that are weird in that regard, e.g. different letters, u and a, in "Russia" is pronounced the same way.

@ topic
I wonder if this guy gives us the capability to run a third scoring line.

Gagné - Brière - Giroux
Pyörälä/JVR - Carter - Hartnell
JVR/Pyörälä - Richards - Laperriere/Powe
Carcillo - Powe/Laperriere - Asham

The reason I'm stashing Richards on the third is that he would be more rested for special teams situations.

That´s close but I know that it´s almost impossible to pronounce his surname right I know cause my surname starts with Py.. too

But anyway Mika might turn out to be a solid hard working 3rd liner for the Flyers and could score some now and then. Poor man's Jere Lehtinen.

ill give it a shot, it is rather difficult.

P-oo-ur-raa-l-aa

ä is pronounced like the first "a" from avalanche

y is an "oo" like in "root"

ö is the "ur" part in "burn" (but only a slight sublte "r")

r is rolled

some things i know:

-Was the best all-around forward for team Finland in the last WC's, played 1st Pk, some PP, always played against opponents top line

-Is kinda of a glue player, has the ability to make his line work effectly to both ways

-Has the abilities (hands and determination) to be a fully offensive player, but because of his defensive abilities he has been used as a two way/responsible guy in team's first line wing in the last five years

-In Finland we often compare him to Jere Lehtinen, and by saying he is poor man's Jere on his prime is alright

-Has basically succeeded in every role (maybe the best defensive forward in Europe who also was 2nd best goal scorer in finnish league) in his career so far, so trying in NA is only natural solution

I hope flyers catch a steal in this one, if he can handle the speed he will be great 3rd line wing/pk unit.

Not quite. The TV announcer is swedish and he pronounces it like "Pöirälä". Only the arena announcer got it right.

This clip is from the last final-game in 2005, Pyörälä scored the last goal of the season.

pyörä = wheel
(polku)pyörä = bicycle

so Mike Wheeler he will be

In my first post I said Phantoms. I slept over it and like what other said, 3rd line Lehtinen alike player, that he maybe can do. But in a scoring line, no way.

Anyhow...

This is one of the best guys in europe. He does his best to help his team, and when Kärpät needed scoring some seasons ago, he thought he should learn how to do that as well and went fron 13 to 28 goals.

His attitude is his best asset, he always come ready to help and has no problems just working hard and playing solid defense.

I am surprised he wasn't in the NHL quite a few years ago. I wish he would've been brought over earlier, because he has the talent to be a mainstay NHLer, but now if he doesn't adjust quickly... We'll probably have him in europe again soon because of his age.

If he makes it I sure know what I want to put on my flyers jersey if there only would be places here in sweden who do that kind of thing at an affordable price...

Looks like a really good signing. Those points totals are very impressive for the league he is in.
