2009 Rookie Tournament Info

I didn't see a post on this yet, so, I thought I'd start one.

The Sens participate in the rookie tournament again this year, against Toronto, Boston and Pittsburgh. The tournament's in Kitchener, so, not too far for anyone willing to check it out. It's right in my backyard, so, I'm hoping to take in a few games.

It's September 6th through the 10th. Here's the Sens press release on it:
http://www.silversevensens.com/2009/...uins?ref=yahoo

Here's the info from the Kitchener Auditorium, where it's being held, and where tickets can be purchased (tickets start from $10 for students)
http://www.kitchener.ca/aud/calendar...ep%206,%202009

Shameless plug below:

If anyone is coming in front out of town to see the event, my company operates the Comfort Inn in Kitchener, which is 5 minutes from the arena. We've put in place a special event rate of $96 for this event. Just phone the front desk, and, ask for the NHL Rookie Tournament rate.

Contact info:
Phone: (519) 894-3500
Toll Free Phone: (866) 373-4910
Address: 2899 King St. E. @ Weber St.
Kitchener, ON, CA, N2A 1A6

Rate is $96 per night, and includes free parking, breakfast and wireless internet.

What about your garage? I'll take that.

I went last year. Parked right next to Jacques Martin (the Fla GM at the time). Was going to say something, but then passed, after all he's not a Sens anymore. Talked to Bran Murray. All the brass and coaches were there. Wished Hartsburg good luck (I learned my lesson, I'm not talking to Clouston this year). You get to see all the best prospects the Sens have to offer, plus a bunch of guys you never heard of but may make Bingo or Elmira. And the Kitchner arena is great. Highly recommended to anyone who can make it.

Oh nice, rookie tourney in Kitchener again this year...

Thought that they rotated it around, because I remember back in the day it being held in Woodstock once.

Sucks that they're holding it in the middle of the week though this year - got a chance to get my picture taken with Bryan Murray during the afternoon one last year

I've stayed there for work. It's a Comfort Inn so it's not incredible, but it's a decent one at least and pretty good value for 96$.
