Obviously there has been a massive amount of turnover in the hwks front office. While a lot of the media and Martin Havlat blasted Dale Tallon's firing, Stan Fischler explains that this is all part of Rocky Wirtz's plan to put his fingerprint on the organization.
The question is: Are the Hawks better off? I mean Since Rocky took over the club has 360-ed...
The absurdly colloquial writing style is incredibly grating.
There are line breaks between nearly every sentence.
Not a single thing in the article comes close to resembling new information or keen insight; Josh Mora's piece (written on the same night that the RFA story broke) was far more coherent and interesting.
All I remember about Fischler is that he always seemed to pick the Islanders or Rangers to win everything every year in the 80's (I suppose by the 90's it was the Devils all the time).
Hard to take a guy like that too seriously, well not nearly as seriously as he has taken himself in the past.
Edited to add: paraphrasing John Stewart here now... I read it, because I hate myself... and yep, same old Fischler schtick... and I typed that one: "faster than I can Stan Mikita" Ugh, I think you might get more reliable info off bio section of hockey cards.
