McDonagh, add Bourque.

It's good that Mcdonagh, Stepan, Gilroy and Krieder are still there when all 4 are good prospects.

If all the GMs were so smart, why were Lundqvist, Zetterberg and Datsyuk picked in the 7th round?

Holy crap, Stepan is no way a superior prospect to Gilroy at this point.

Stepan is 6 years younger, and has 1st line potential.

Me too but just can't ignore Stepan's upside over the remaining guys.

"at this point" again, I dont understand why people grade prospects on how close they are to the NHL. I guess it should be a minor factor, but it's moreso about what you believe each player will eventually be when the time comes to be in the NHL, not how fast they get there

Gilroy is 8 on my list too. People are hyping the crap out of him but I wonder how many posters have actually watched him outside of this year's frozen four.

Hmmm... if I'd read Goose's report on his lunch with Gravey before the fourth poll, I would've swapped Sangs and McD. Not that it matters much.

I didn't mean "at this point" as in how close to the NHL. I mean that Gilroy is has more value. He may have less potential, but he is a near certainty to play in the NHL.

Step has done nothing to prove he is likely to play on the first line. If he will, he will have over-achieved. 50-50 he won't make it at all. 30-70 he won't play on the top 2 lines. 10-90 he won't be a legit first liner.

I have, and I still think Misko was better

-bitter

However, I think at age 24 he has a more realistic shot at making the club and being okay then our younger kids who are still growing.

Because they exceeded their potential. When Bourque suddenly turns it on beyond expectations, we can start ranking him above other third liners.

Lundqvist is a mystery because he actually put up some crazy numbers, not sure how he dropped so low, but I think I remember hearing something about the only teams that really paid for scouts to go to euro countries were Rangers and Detroit which would explain the late round picks.

BTW, the fact that Sangs went above McD is kinda showing of our ignorance to our new prospect.

McD add Kundratek
