Thanks. We'd like to think so as well. Just hoping to keep the top 4 injury free this season. We can cope for a game or two but if we lose Bogo, Enstrom, or Kubina for long stretches we're dorked. Just don't have top 4 depth ready in the AHL at this time.

I have big hopes for this guy. Showing a mean streak already at such a young age and has size to back it up too. Skates well for his size and hopefully will get better. If everything goes just perfect, we might just have a Chara version 2.0 in this guy.

I think you´re a little bit way too optimistic......
Hall Gill 2.0 is way more real with Boris.

agreed. can you imagine being 6'-7" and getting into a fight with someone even bigger than you? Boris probably didn't know how to handle it, besides the fact that the only thing going through his mind was probably something to the effect of "OMG! THE Zdeno Chara is touching me! OMG OMG OMG!"

I don't think he likes Chara the way you are insinuating.

Chara and Valabik hung out before that game. Chara relayed some of his early experiences about trying to stick on an NHL roster.

This. Also hydromel, you made it sound as if they had never met before, which is wrong....

Thats not a bad line up at all. Not sure what will it look like when injuries hit though.

Valabik can already skate better than Gill, but anybody waiting on him to develop an offensive game outside of his huge slapshot shouldn't be holding their breath. Realistically a massive defensive defenseman and PK powerhouse someday.

Crosby's favorite punching bag is back behind a Thrasher's cup!

He's already better than Gill, but won't reach Chara's level IMO.

Wrong. Hall Gill is a terrible skater, even for his size. Valabik already skates better and his ceiling is much higher than Gill's.

For sure.

One of the more promising D cores in the entire league, IMO.
