Rangers Lines Poll 3 - 1st Line LW

Rangers Lines/Depth Chart 2009-2010

TBD-Brandon Dubinsky-Marian Gaborik

Dubinsky was very very well ahead of anyone else, so we're moving on. Hoping these can start to get a sticky, but oh well.

Pick your 1st line LW. This one could be interesting.

Callahan baby. Speed, grit, goal scoring. Perfect player to have with Dubinsky and Gaborik.

Higgins is the same thing, except slightly bigger, slightly faster and a natural LW.

I love Higgins, but Callahan's pace under Torts last season definitely puts him above Higgs. They at least have to give him a shot.

Said Higgins but I"m not terribly thrilled about any of them.

Lisin might be entertaining but him and Gaborik on the same line is probably asking for too much trouble

Avery is gonna be perfect for this line. He's an underrated passer and will get the puck to Gabby!

I voted for Higgins but I wouldn't mind Avery given a chance. He's a much better playmaker than people give him credit for.

I think the edge goes to Higgins, he a little more well rounded - and if you think Cally exploded under Torts... wait until you see what Higgins can do.

I back this one, Higgins could go in as well. I want some aggression on this line.

Avery can also protect Dubinsky and Gaborik if anyone wants to start something. With Gaborik health that can only be a plus. Plus he is a pest and a good player who can score on that line. Higgins meanwhile would be great with Drury and Callahan.

I think it's interesting that, so far, only the probable 2nd and 3rd line centers haven't received a vote to left wing the top line.

Avery ftw

Underrated playmaking ability along with great speed will fit.
I'm sure he'll take the attention off Gabs a bit aswell. Gomer said having Avery on his line reduced the pressure and opened up space for him.

Z is as good as gone as far as I am concerned, so not considering him, I go with Callahan.

Yes, he played the right side, but he earned the opportunity to thrive with big minutes with his late season play last year.

Higgins for me. Callahan played really well with Drury last year, i want to see if they can continue growing their chemistry on the 2nd line.

I think that if Dubinsky is the first line center we'll see higgins-duby-gaborik. But if Torts decides to go with Drury centering the first line with Gaborik we'll see Avery for the simple fact that he can protect gaborik when time comes. Not to mention he is a good hockey player and is hard to move off the puck. But if Dubinsky is on first line it'll be higgins because duby is willing to drop the gloves if someone is messing with Gabby

We wanna get the puck to Gaborik on the go.

Avery's got good vision and is a pretty good passer, so I'll go with him.

Yup, he's my pick to play on the other side.

I've got Avery penciled in there. Avery is a better passer than Dubu, & he plays a north south game.

Awards:
Higgins. I'm interested though to see how Avery would do up there.

Not sure why everyone wants to move Callahan from his natural position.

I dont know why you guys put Gaborik as RW when he is actually LW.

Gaborik - Dubinsky - Kotalik, they might try that one out.

Higgins - Drury - Callahan 2nd line

Avery - Anisimov - Lisin 3rd

3 balanced lines.
