Pedro, like Cabrera, always embraced the city. It shows class to go out of his way when he didn't have to.

When I saw that interview with Pedro, it brought tears to my eyes. Amazing, what else can you say. 5-6 yrs later after being traded, he still is trying to give back to us. Amazing guy, player..and here is to you Pedro

My favorite Expos of all-time!

I remember him early in his carreer, about 150lbs all wet, with his young cocky face trying to throw a 98mph fastball at every Astros batter head.

Funny time!

Yeah, I remember Pedro when he had these raggedy sleeves just hanging out of his jersey. A skinny kid indeed.

Watching Cabrera, he reminded me of Mike Ribeiro. He's got a swagger, was sporting his dirty 'stache, and after he would strike out, he looked like a cocky kid (he tried to snap his bat, exaggerated his movements around the plate). He's an awesome player though, and Im happy he has a championship.

So I wasn't the only one who saw the Cabrera-Ribeiro likeness. It really is remarkable.

As for Pedro, he just moved up my list of favorite athletes. Very nice thing to say, and I'm sure he'll go on to win many more rings. Maybe not with Boston, but here's to an Expos reunion in Anaheim.

A class act all the way. I remember how involved he was with local charities while he was an Expo. One of the very few players that was.

Wow, that was one of the most touching things I read in a while.

Kind of reminds me of Uwe Krupp comments on Quebec City during the Colorado run of 96.

Pedro is one hell of a classy individual. The only Expos in history to win the Cy Young trophy.

Dang, I started to watch baseball to late I guess. I fellowed the whole play-offs and I really liked it. It was awesome... I never thought it was so great, or maybe I miss hockey too much? I didn't knew one player before the playoffs lmao.

Pedro proved again how gentleman he is.

We can't say the same thing about Guerrero, a guy who spoke two the media twice during his career in Montreal.

I didn't care anymore about the Expos, but I'll always remember the Petro, Marquis, Larry and Delino of 1994. They were good, but more importantly, they loved the fans and they never took themselves too seriously. THAT was a team.

There was no Delino he was traded for Pedro.

Moises Alou
Mike Lansing
Wilfredo Cordero
Larry Walker
Marquis Grissom
Pedro Martinez
Ken Hill
Jeff Fassero
John Wettland
Mel Rojas

and many more that I don't remember

Edit : Oh.. and how can I forget the hyper-fast Darren Fletcher

But yet Vlad still remians the most popular expo of at least the past 15 years. He's the man. Besides, it wasn't like he could speak english anyways. What did you expect??

Yep, very classy indeed. Too bad he didn't get his World series ring 10 years earlier when the Expos rocked.

Guerrero brought a heck of a lot to the expos so dont bash him uselessly. Pedro and Guerrero are top 5 players in their respective positions, can you believe the expos had them both at some time

Classy comment, but you can tell that baseball players have trouble with their numeracy.

Pedro is without a doubt one of the most colourful, talented and loyal athletes to every play in this city.

I salut him.
