AC: “Why Stan Bowman? Was he the best fit for the job or was Scottie being on board somewhat of a hint that Stan would be taking over sooner or later?”
Al Cimaglia: “Stan Bowman can’t be sold short, he paid his dues. He is a hard worker and has been with the organization for eight years. He deserved a shot to move up, regardless if his father was an influencing factor or not. He can judge talent and is more than a numbers cruncher.”
AC: “Will Cristobal Huet (in your opinion) be able to thrive as the pure #1 in Chicago, especially now that Khabibulin is gone to Edmonton and Huet shouldn’t feel much pressure from another goaltender?”
Al Cimaglia: “I think Huet has a good chance of being better, but he is not the number one goalie until he proves it. I think adding a big physical defenseman would help him a lot. Huet is not a very big goalie and at times he gets pushed around.
