Michael Sauer won the last round. Carl Hagelin was voted to be added. The quality of prospects is going down now from the first-round quality top-8, but we still have a lot of excellent kids, at least some of whom should be excellent NHLers.

This is where the poll gets a bit crazy and unpredictable for me. I went with Werek. Add Potter b/c he is close to make the team over Valentenko who has better upside but I have no clue if he's ever coming back state-side and with our d-depth, no clue what his chances even are to make the team.
not sure who to leave off this list... the poll goes to 20 right? dang, this will be tough.
To me this is as good a top ten as I ever remember on here before. I don't think it's necessarily disrespectful to Byers if he just misses. I am very hopeful that Dane makes the team this year and adds a bit more size and pizzazz to our lineup. He's shown pretty decent skill at the AHL level as well. He might only ever be a 4th liner but I still think his upside as a 3rd liner is there. For the guy we drafted he still seems to me to be on target for the player most thought he could be at that time.

Yeah, 8 players who are first round quality and two more who are at least second round quality. If even half of the top 10 turns into average or better NHLers, we'll be doing really well with a lot of cheap, young, hungry players.
