I have also been meaning to try Dogfish Head on tap at the bar, but it always seems to be out. I think that's a good sign.

The kind is 60 something, I forget.

Irish I have been drinking Summer Ale all summer, it is delicious. If I'm anywhere outside and have a cooler filled with all types of beer, I grab a Bud Light Lime. **** you haters. Bud light lime is ****ing delicious.

You can't beat either of that stuff during the summer.

Yep, that's the one. I find it on tap at a lot of places that I go to for happy hour after work, and they are always out. I can't wait to get my hands on it.

I also have a rule, I hate drinking out of cans unless I'm getting trashed. Bottles or glasses everytime.

I feel the same way, I have gone thru cases of that stuff so far this summer. I'll have one or 2 watching the Phillies game, and a bunch on the weekends, and next thing you know, I gotta hop in the car for another beer run in no time.

I'd buy the Summer Ale in cases if it didnt cost me like $34 a case.

I can get the Bud Light lime for $22.

I'm still waiting for one of my favorite beers to start getting bottled. Right now the brewery (Rooster Fish) is so small they do keg only.

Their Nut Brown Ale is easily a top 5 beer for me.

Sam Adams Summer Ale is my favorite, followed closely by their Octoberfest. Im not too big on the Winter Ale though. Havent tried too many others of theirs.

I mostly drink my homebrew anyway.

Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA is just unbelievably good, not quite as big a fan of the 90 minute, but the 60 is awesome.

Hey, you guys are talking beer here.

I am a hoppy Pale Ale fan... the hoppier, the better... Sierra Nevada and Victory Hop Devil on draught and their ilk is my beer of choice. While I prefer ales, Sam Adam's Boston Lager to me is the best lager... and has an ale feel to me. I usually don't like the Sam Adam's seasonal brews though.

I feel that the worst Micro is better than the best Macro... But one has to be willing to pay the price for them, and seek a place that has them on tap. I'm not much for a lighter brew, BUT on a hot day I do find a quality wheat beer with a citrus slice to be good... I love Blue Moon draught with a good sweet orange slice in it.

I also at times like a heavy desert type beer... A good stout like Brooklyn Brewery's Chocolate Stout or Smith's Oatmeal Stout -- Used to love Red Bell's Black Cherry Stout, when they were good, and consistent.

If I want to save money... and this fits the bill for a picnic/tailgating beer where I drink more and want to spend less... I like Yuengling's Black and Tan, draught/bottles/cans are all good and you can't spend any less even with the Bud/Miller/Coors Macros of the World... Maybe the Iron the City/Busch/Milwaukee's Finest of the World may be a little cheaper, but not much.

I love this topic.

Irish, I mainly have been drinking the beers I've been brewing. Pale Ales mainly. I got this one IPA thats 20%, its ****ing a tank. I also brewed this one Pineapple ale, but its not very Pineapply, despite using a ton of Pineapple.

Ive also brew alot of meads, but my most recent one is way too powerful. I have to take shots of it. Last XMas i made a mead that was liquid candy, and a total panty dropper.

I've got nothing against Corona except its price (it would be a good cheap beer, but it ain't cheap). BLL, however, tastes like artificial lime flavor, not beer. Barf.

I love the beer talk. Sam Adams makes many good beers, I drink it very often here in Sweden. Many people here thinks USA (and Canada) only make beers that taste nothing.
Well, if you think the only beers from the US are Millers, Bud and Michelob and I am not surprised about the prejudices. But darn I have been drinking many good beers from USA and Canada.

My trick when I was over there the last time I asked with my Swedish accent the bartenders about the best beers the knew, I told them I did not like Miller (ofcourse I can drink if it is the only beers in the place like it was one time in a bar in TN but that is another story) and the bartenders always shined up and made me drink many beers I never heard of and was very good.

Sam Adams in the US is really underrated, in my opinion, so it's nice to hear others appreciate it. Especially their variety.

Any good Swedish beers you can recommend that may have traveled to the US? I can't think of any off the top of my head.

I gotta start making my own stuff. I need to ask you about that on Saturday. Bringing some homebrew?

BLL, yeah, it is a little artificial, but I dont mind. In the hot sun, a little BLL goes a long way. I hate BL though, cant stand the stuff.

When it comes to value, Molson Canadian is up there. Fairly inexpensive, yet doesn't taste like ass like the "Big 3." Still, avoid Molson Ice like the plague.

I usually choose Yuengling but I choose Molson Canadian when I don't feel like spending a half hour on the john the next morning.
