There is no Cherepanov trophy in the MHL. It's a KHL trophy given to KHL regular players.
Yeah I know ... it was another statement .. its because im a french person and i have some difficulties to do statement correctly ... But my question was who will win the Cherepanov trophy in the KHL. Because the MHL will steel a lot of young player .... Sorry for my english ..
its the annually awarded to the khl top rookie if im correct the first winner was ivan babikov
So are there rules to winning this trophy? Like age stipulations, Russian born only eligible. Just wondering if players coming into the league for the first time even after numerous years playing in NHL/AHL/Swedish Elite etc... Example could Kozlov or Fedorov coming from the Capitals to the KHL win this trophy? I wouldn't expect that to be fair but thought I would ask. Forgive my ignorance on the subject.
