Who do you think will win the Cherepanov trophy ? ...

Kabanov ?
Pashnin ?
Stefanovitch ?
Gogolev ?
Zaytsev ?

... with the MHL, its not all player who will play in the KHL because the team can just have 2 player from junior team ..

I'm pretty sure Stefanovich is playing with the Toronto Marlies in the AHL and Kabanov will likely play most of if not all the season with Salavat of the KHL.

There is no Cherepanov trophy in the MHL. It's a KHL trophy given to KHL regular players.

I guess the best way to describe it is: KHL´s version of the Calder Trophy.

So are there rules to winning this trophy? Like age stipulations, Russian born only eligible. Just wondering if players coming into the league for the first time even after numerous years playing in NHL/AHL/Swedish Elite etc... Example could Kozlov or Fedorov coming from the Capitals to the KHL win this trophy? I wouldn't expect that to be fair but thought I would ask. Forgive my ignorance on the subject.

It was Ilya Proskuryakov of Magnitogorsk.

Are Kuznetsov and Burmistrov playing in the KHL this year?
