It isn't just you.

P.S. Watters is not exactly top drawer when it comes to hockey info.

Shanahan is going to make Latendresse look like the roadrunner.

Shanahan is a very skilled player that could have been an amazing addition to the Habs LAST season. I find this season is all about the younger faster players that interest BG more than the older more experienced skilled players (thats why we got rid of kovy, koivu, etc.)

Im not saying that Brendan wouldnt have played well with us this season, Im just saying that this season BG is looking for players that are still young and are still at their prime if you know what I mean.

Why Shanahan ? at one point , players like D'Agostini , Maxpac , Stewart and Chipchura need to play .

Would love Shanny on the PP, and someone with balls to keep the team on the right path.

It's too late for Shanny, his best days are gone. He should have signed here when he had the chance instead of the Rangers. Imagine him playing for us in the playoffs in 08, we prolly would have beat the Flyers as he was the type of player we were missing.

I don't want Shanny. He made is bed. He had his chance.
He is dead to me. Just in case the Habs pull it off and win their 25th cup, I don't want Shanny's name anywhere near the Habs on that cup.
He chose NY, let him live with it now.

Mindue, If you look at our lineup....we have one GLARING weakness:

a right handed shot for the PP. I think Shany can still one-time it.....

Brian Gionta is a right handed shot.

Thanks but NO THANKS!

Let's hope it's not the Habs.

Nobody wanted thge Guy last season - until the Devils somehow (apparently) felt desperate for some unknown reason.

Gainey offered Shanahan the summer of 2007 - Habs apparently weren't good enough for Shanahan then - why all of a sudden, would he think the Habs are now wotrthy of his services (is it because so few teams are truely interested)?

I would rather the Habs have signed Koivu or Kovalev - any day!

we already have enough players as it is, the last thing we need is another forward, who's slow to boot. Who's gonna sit if we sign him, lats, dago, stewart, skost, ,metro, another year in the ahl for chips? We do not need him....for ****s sake, we're really turning into the rangers here, trying to sign everyone hitting the ufa market. Keep some space for the youngsters.

If we got Shanny i would use him as nothing more than a mentor.

Pacioretty - Gomez - Gionta
Kostitsyn - Plekanec - Cammalleri
Latendresse - Lapierre - Moen
Laraque/Stewart - Chipchura - Shanahan

I would have been very excited about this addition but I'll take a pass for this year.

Don't want him taking a roster spot from a youngin'

Why would we sign Schneider? Spacek makes him obsolete.

Actually it's just the both of you....

It says Shanahan has narrowed it down to two teams....and Watters believes it's the two teams are possibly one of the 4 listed

Also Watters is a former player agent, I'm sure he's friends with a lot of the agents out their, that makes him a good source plus he had a major role with the Leafs for a while, he obviously knows people.
