When is his arbitration case and when do we find out if he is staying or going this year?

Tomorrow.

The arbitrator has 48 hours to issue his decision on the award. The Wings have the same amount of time to accept or walk away.

This guy is gone. Never liked him anyway from a personal stand point.

The KHL are a bunch of hypocrites and that's being nice

Quote:
In other words, as Red Wings GM Ken Holland suggested to MLive.com's own Ansar Khan, the KHL does not believe that NHL players who become restricted free agents, even if they file for arbitration (and Petr Svoboda fully intends to represent his client during Thursday's hearing instead of negotiating a deal with Detroit beforehand), are subject to the "gentlemen's agreement" forbidding both the NHL and KHL from signing players with "operating contracts."
Quote:
Ken Holland will head to Toronto on Thursday, make his case that the Wings want a two-year deal with a player who should receive a $2.5-3.5 million arbitration award, Svoboda will counter with a demand in excess of $4 million per season, and, unless the arbitrator awards Hudler a Dynamo-like $5-6 million award, the Wings will accept the award and expect Hudler to join Dynamo on August 10th.
