Not sure if this has been posted in light of the OKT signing, but my friend just told me CSN reported Jones is probably on his way out. Has anyone heard anything? Please, please, PLEASE tell me there is something to this.

Eklund reported on HockeyBuzz that the Kings are interested in Jones... And Panaccio suggested that with OKT's signing, Jones' days were numbered, in HIS opinion... Please take both FWIW.

****. He made it sound like something was imminent. I really don't want to get my hopes up and then have to see Jones' worthless carcass on the ice opening night (unless, of course, he's playing for the opponent).

What could they get in return for Jones? BTW what about marshall or bourdon as seventh defensman?

It would be a waste to have one of our prospects sit in the press box. If their not playing, send them back down. Not doing anything wont help them

Jester wants a bag of used pucks... Other than that, who knows what LA will offer.

I agree with the above post, that the 7th D-man should be a player that doesn't need developing time in the 'A', as those two would... Unless they get to play in the Bigs, better to let them play a lot of minutes with the Phantoms.

Big hitting dman who plays his ass off and loves to stick up for teammates? I like him already. And thanks to the C-bus fans for giving us some opinions.

On another note, I just don't hate Jones the way most here do. That said, at his salary the team just has to move him and I hope the LA rumor pans out!

I kind of wanted both Jones and Carle to stay and out of nowhere kick some ass. Not that realistic but it was kind of what I wanted. But now that we have OKT I hope he can be a 6th d-man like he wants to be.

It would be awesome if Jones went away to L.A. for whatever (as long as we don't have to pay), and Bourdon or Marshall made the team with OKT there, too. I am pro-Bertuzzi, too.

Marshall has a light chance, but i don't see any way Bourdon makes the team this year.

According to the Norwegian media Tollefsen rejected a contract from the Penguins, because he would rather sign with the Flyers. That ought to put him in your good books right away.

I think we could push them for a free Slushee too.

Either way, if we get rid of Jones, my offseason will be complete.

Apparently he is going to wear 55.

Interesting to hear that Thor (who is a really good friend of his) "had nothing but really great things to say about the organization"

I like defensemen wearing #'s like 22, 33, 44, 55, and 77. It looks awesome for some reason.
