Modin

I know Eklund isn't the most accurate source, but I was listening to his buzzcast and he and some guest were talking about the Lightning having interest in Modin. I didn't listen for too long but it also sounded like he was talking to a member of Blue Jackets media. Dont know about you but I would love to have Modin back of Lightning.

Is this possibly Lawton's plan?

Also what do u guys think it would take to get him. Heard CBJ were looking for defensive d man from Eklund's guest.

They also need a puck-mover defenseman... Krajicek?

3.5 million dollar salary, 34 years old, very injury prone...

I love him but that ship has sailed.

Forgot about that salary. Pretty Brutal. I guess I got excited over nothing.

Unless his salary goes down to 1m, then no, no way.

Is that his salary or cap hit? Because if it is his cap hit and his salary is less than I would take him, since we won't spend to the cap anyway.

Edit: Looked it up and it is his salary.

I would be much happier if we could somehow pry Torres from them anyway, very injure prone I know, but man when he is playing he is super effective, and he really doesn't cost that much for what he brings at 2.75.

Besides his salary, Lawton said they are looking for speed up front and as I recall, Freddie wasn't all that fast...maybe third line scoring, but too much money...

Sort of OT, but that was my top 2 lines in NHL09 for my 2nd year of Dynasty... Personally, I would love to have his shot back in our lineup, and I think it would take at least a 4-5 defenseman, and a mid level prospect to get him.
