Which of these 3 would you take?

(I preface this by saying sorry, I'm not sure what prefix to use for this, so I chose a proposal).

Alright, so here's the situation given to you Flyer' fans:

Assuming that the following 3 players are all going to sign 1-year deals for 600K, who would you take? Your answers are important.

Option 1: Patrick Thoresen

Option 2: Jonathon Kalinski

Option 3: Mike Zigomanis

I didn't want a poll, just want to see the replies.

I'm inclined to say Thoresen though we have a decent amount of LW depth. None of them score a whole lot of points so no one is much better than Thoresen in that department. Zigomanis based on the 21 games he played with the Pens last season he is good at faceoffs (62.9% 251 faceoffs) so he could be the third line C so many of you want which I'm guessing you wanted brought up Brindamour's Nose - but I still would prefer Thoresen. Also in terms of faceoffs Briere was good at faceoffs in the 07-08 season in both the playoffs and the regular, in the regular season this year he wasn't so hot but he was pretty good in the playoffs though its a small sample size.

I'd take any of them, but Kalinski and Zigomanis seem like they both could develop into more than what they already are, so I'd take either of them over Thor with the intent to look at offering them another deal in the future. I don't think Thor is ever going to turn into more than what we saw.

I disagree. Thoresen has a huge offensive upside. He's been really good this year in Switzerland and can produce alot of good stuff for us if he comes back. If we sign him next year and he get's a safe spot in the roster, I'm positive he can produce 30 points for us as well as being a physical player.
If we give him a one-way deal next year he'll sign right away, and I hope we do. He'll bring points, energy and he'll be cap-friendly.

I'll take Zigomanis. He's almost as automatic on faceoffs as you can get.

1-Thor
2-Kalinski
3-Zigomanis

not sure why it's important unless the organization some how values your opinion but.... I loved what Thor brought, pretty similar to Kappy but plays center and I thought was a very solid passer. I really could care less if he can't score. Kalinski is young and has nice upside as a good 2-way agitator which I never think you can have enough of. Zigomanis has injury trouble and he's played more than 33games in an NHL season ONCE. Good at the draw but nothing else.

My answer depends on what the team wants to do with Powe.

If the idea is to leave him as the 4th line center, then my choice is Thoreson.

If the team wants to move him up and play 3rd line wing or somewhere else, I would choose Zigomanis.

His track record disagrees with you. 24 points in 106 NHL games. He seems like the type that just isn't quite good enough to score at the top level.

This is what the Flyers need the most and he has the ability to be used in a wide range of situations (3rd/4th/pk/pp).

Thoresen would be more of a fan favorite, but unless he can win faceoffs like Zigomanis can, he doesn't really do too much for the club except be a depth forward.

And during those games he's been up and down from the AHL. I'm not saying he'll be a 50 point man, but for a 3rd/4th line guy he's as gifted offensively as anybody out there.
This year in the Swiss league he had 22 goals, 41 assists and 63 points in 48 games (3rd overall), and the Swiss league is one of the best in Europe.

I agree, actually.

When I watched Thor play as a Flyer....I use to always say: This guy can do everything very well, but he can't seem to score. It was odd
