If he signed in Detroit I would be extremely happy. He would be this years Dallas Drake, and then some, because The teaM would rally behind him and [hopefully] play like champs. Plus, his signing in Detroit would mean Jason Williams will never play for the Red Wings ever again. I would enjoy that very much.
he said vancouver would be his first choice but they barely have any cap space now and getting a 6th d-man is more important imo.
Sundin was in poor shape last season , that's why he looked like garbage in his stint with Vancouver . He got better in the Chicago series though, I would love to see him back with a team from October trying to win a cup . I think he deserves it , but only if he comes from October and is a part of a team from the start
Yeah, and I wouldn't take a #6 dman over Sundin even if he's in poor shape
would be sweet if he signed for real real cheap. with training camp he can still produce. mentor some of the young guys on the team like hodgson.. even when hes not putting up points he was helping the team a lot.
Our only hope is that he signs for roughly 2-3M and we figure out to fill out our roster from within or Gillis can pull a trade. That Sedin signing is starting to piss me off a little, we could've used that extra 1-2M cap space.
