Happy 3rd Anniversary of the Roenick Trade

It is the 3-year anniversary of the Roenick trade.

We received Roenick and a 3rd (Bud Holloway) for future considerations (which I hope we fulfilled by taking Gaut)

How is everyone else celebrating this momentous occasion?

I see the Kings are celebrating by re-vamping their website at 1pm PST today.

And he'll get to the retirement ceremony just as soon as they fix his skates.

I killed a bottle of Rum, what about you?

And I didn't puke, thank god, just a killer headache all day.

A pot of coffee that had been sitting in my coffeepot for a few days is the only thing that made me feel normal.

Well luckily I didn't actually puke either... That was just my way of expressing my naseau at the thought of Roenick.

I went to see my buddy play a late show, was feeling a bit 'dude-ish' so I had a couple of white russians. Followed by some Widmer's, followed by free Widmer's, followed by a trip to my buddy's new place and Blue Moon Blue Honey's, and eventually down to the Miller Lite.

Hadn't had a night like that in a year or so. Treated myself to a greasy Pastrami Reuben at Solley's in an effort to obtain salvation from my skull.

Yeah I started with a bottle of wine earlier in the day, then had a few Coors Lights, then moved on to just Sailor Jerry's straight up, then mellowed out with some White Russians myself. I was drinking with some chicks so that's why I was drinking pretty girly...

In "honor" of Roenick's retirement

I'm re-publishing this April Fool's gag story, which was originally entitled, "Los Angeles Kings Waive Jeremy Roenick," in "honor" of the former Kings forward who is announcing his retirement from the NHL this week. Hope you'll get a laugh out of this...'

Future Hall Of Famer Jeremy Roenick To Retire
