Breakout season

If any player, whether he was on team or NHL last season, can come to this team this season and have a breakout season offensively, who would it be???

My first thought goes to Colin Wilson, who may come in and tear it up. So Aside from him, if anybody who currently is set to be on Nashville's roster or has a fighting chance to be on it, who do you think it would be??

Maybe Legwand will breakout??? Erat???? Sully??? Jones??? Santorelli??? Spaling???

You can't really call it a break out season for Wilson.. more like a break in season because it is his first.

Tootoo is my choice. He needs to if he wants to stick around after this season.

I don't really see anyone having too big of a break out season for us. Hopefully Erat can take it to the next level though. I expected him to break out last season, but he may have hit his ceiling

I'm hoping for a big season for Dan Hamhuis...

Could he reach 45 pts?

When I said Colin Wilson, I meant like, imagine he came in and won the Calder and really opened everyone's eyes league wide.

Also,

Does anyone ever see Legwand EVER having a 70 point plus season??

He could have done that a while ago if he wasn't behind the depth charts of Weber/Suter/Timonen/Zidlicky. Trotz uses Hamhuis primarily as a shutdown role because he's so good at it. He's got offensive skills, but the team just doesn't need it from him. We need his superior defense. Put him on a team with no offensive dmen and he would get 40-45 points easily. So in answer to your question, no I don't think he will while playing with us.

No, I don't. If he couldn't do it in 06/07 playing with Kariya (63 points), then he probably never will, especially given his injury history.

He definitely could! As above mentioned. Its just that with Weber and Suts, its harder for him to get PP time or be in a point getting position.
