Quick question, do you think Kovalchuk is a better puckhandler then Connolly.
Being able to control a puck involves being strong on the puck. The stronger you can hold that puck, the better puckhandler you are.

Connolly is a better puck handler. Kovalchuk comes close though.

Granted, but it's not the be all and end all of puckhandling, as demonstrated by the three best puck handlers in the game today: Connolly, Kane & Perron, all of whom are fairly diminutive in stature, and not exceptionally strong on the puck, certainly not to the extent of Kovy, and yet no one would argue Kovy is a better puckhandler.

I haven't said anything about Connolly, Kane, or Perron.

I just said Zherdev is not as good as a puckhandler as Kovalchuk.

Burke has officially denied having interest in signing Zherdev according to Kevin Allen of USA today who spoke with him earlier today…

No surprise here, you an cross the Oilers and now the Leafs off the list of potential suitors for the enigmatic russian winger.

It takes more than pure skill to translate it into production. Without the production his skill means nothing. Zherdev may be skilled but his lackadaisical approach to the game almost guarantees he won't make the most of it.

I think it's unlikely. Where there's smoke, there's usually fire.

^Not surprising. I would have liked to take a flyer on Zherdev, but I digress.

On a side note, is Tlusty more suited to C or W, or are we sure yet?

I am personally shocked. I mean he would be the best player on the Leafs - doesn't Burke know this????
