I agree...I expect better things from our young players for the future. There was something wrong out there. We drafted so many good young forwards, but most of them never reached their potential. Hope it will change soon!
It must be the first time that 2 coachs from the University ranks get to coach a Habs' farm club.
Jean Perron was coaching here at our school before the Habs came calling... also, nice to see Raymond graduate from McGill, he gave us a defeat that was very very hard to take two years ago in the CIS University Cup in our home rink...
The CIS is made up of almost all ex-CHL players, so it is great calibre hockey. The Oilers also went to the CIS to staff up their coach in the AHL (taking from the hometown UofA team that has been a perennial powerhouse in CIS hockey). Nice to see the Habs think a bit outside the box and yet still recruit a home-town boy with proven credentials.
I also like the addition of two assistant coaches instead of just one. They can now divvy up the workload and allow some specialization amongst the coaches.
Lever and Wilson did well, but they too feel victim to Bob's housecleaning as he obviously would like to see a little something more from the kids coming up from the farm. A whole new attitude and approach from top to bottom.
