Seriously, you'd think he'd be more prideful of being born in LA now that he is property of LA. Maybe he doesn't quite understand the impact he could have if he makes the team and actually plays well (look how excited people got over the nothing that was Noah Clarke).

Though I can definately see how Canada's national team holds more prestige than the USA team. Still... a chance at a spot on Canada versus a guaranteed spot on the USA seems like something he shouldn't turn his nose up at so quickly. Then again, TSN is Canadian media.

He's being honest, good for him! Hell I was born and raised here and my heart (well my head definatly) is in Canada, some people just aren't LA. Maybe he also wants the challenge. I see this as a good thing, I had no clue he was even on their radar.

Damn right if I had any skill at football I'd of played for El Salvador!!! Haha

But really I don't see why this upsets you guys. If it's because it would promote the game more here in so cal, I'd counter with a winning team would have 10 times more of an effect then Kozun making the club would.

What, you don't think he's trading US secrets to the Canadians? Kozun looks like a suspect, just look at them beady eyes.

I do. You're an American, play for America. If America was the hockey powerhouse and he wanted to play against the best for competitive purposes, at least I could respect that (though only a little bit). But to turn your back on your own national team for any other reason is BS.

You can say it's over-reacting, and I'm not going to disagree with you. But this is a personal pet peeve of mine.

It's like with Rossi, the US soccer team is better now than it ever has been. With Rossi, it could be that much better. But he wants to turn his back on team USA and play for an already stacked Italian team?

Also note - I have nothing against Canada. I LOVE Canada. Look at what they bring to the table: Hockey, beer, girls that love hockey, herb and rock-hard maple (I play baseball too). What's not to like?

He's spent the majority of his life in Canada. He's more Canadian then American.

That is just as ridiculous as my arguement. I know the whole thing is trivial at best. I'm just pointing out my personal opinion about remaining loyal to the country you were born in.

No, if he was born in Canada and raised in Russia and decided to play for Russia, I wouldn't care one bit. It's just that he's spurning the US team. I am completely aware of the hypocrisy in this statement.

No its not Rossi' family is from Italy. You dont know how he was brought up or what his home life was like.

If i were to get mad about these things i would think Kozuns move was worse.

And why should he be loyal to the country he was born in? seeing as his career is Hockey, Canada has given him much more then the US has in that regard and should there for be loyal to them, no??

BTW F Brady Murray and de Guzman!!!!

Give him a break

1. He is a gutty small forward who is AT THE TEAM CANADA camp!!

2. He is a hockey player, not a diplomat or publicist.

3. He is in the Kings organization.

Go Brandon!

Dual citizens are lucky indeed.
