Why not? the agent job is to get a good contract for his client? if he can not get one then the agent at least is partially accountible for it?

Knuble can get almost 3M, Gionta got 5M...I am sure Tanguay is worth something.

I guess if he's gonna be on a crap team, he wants to get paid handsomely. Yes, I am a fan of one of them.

what, he's mad he has'nt signed yet?.................same with Biron, why is he mad that the rest of the league is stacked with good goalies and their is something called a cap so teams don't want to spend big money on a backup?

he is a good goalie but a marginal starter. Has to be the right situation for him

Tanguay should just sign already

There is some offers on the table and yes, we've discuss with people of the Wild and the Lightning. They are both serious. I will not hide myself, I would see me with Lecavalier, Stamkos or St-Louis...But this is the game of negociation, and we don't know how it will end. In the end I will choose the team that correspond best in my interest - Alex Tanguay

The player has the final say. I have heard that he is asking for a 5 year term. With the cap presumably going down significantly next year teams just don't want to tie up a player, who isn't a sure thing or a definitive plan for their future, for that long.

The Wild only have ~$3M in cap space remaining. They would likely have to move a fairly significant contract ($2M perhaps) to make space for Tanguay.

Tampa has already created cap space (~$7M) through the Prospal B/O, plus Tanguay seems to be already daydreaming about their roster. Seems to be Tampa's contest to lose now -- ie, they are the frontrunner.

We have the cap space, a revamped D-core which I'm pretty confident will do much better. (Cant get much worse.) with Tanguay being on the same line with the lightning.........oh god, Think I just jizzed my self.

Ink him Lawton. We can have a French-Canadian line now, Lecavalier-St.Louis-Tanguay.
Considering you have each player out of position...

Lupien is plain stupid. Listen to him in french he's just a dumb guy....he took too many fists in the face... that guy thinks he's the next best thing in the world.
He had problems with a couple of organisations because of the way he acts. No surprise there.
