If Fleury made the team, Brodeur might as well save himself the headache and either retire or sit out all six games against us next year lol. It'd be cool to have him for the minimum if he's still a decent player, especially if he doesn't have a desire to play each game, which at 41, i'm sure he doesn't. That being said, there's still the issue of already having a lot of 4th line forwards on the training camp roster..

Hell if Chelios can play until he is 46(or however old he is), Schneider can play top-4 minutes when he is 40 and Lemieux come back outof retirement to have a pretty good season I say give him a chance.

Nothing against Theo, he's a much different guy than he was. I just don't understand what about him would look good to an NHL team.

Sign me up as a guy who wish he would forget it.

And the franchise has embarrased us plenty over the years. Yet, here we are.

Oh god, could you imagine Fleury when he was in his prime on a team coached by Torts who wants all of his players to be "in your face"? That would be fun to watch.

Somehow I just don't see Slats doing this. In retrospect NYC was just about the worst place that Theo could have chosen all those years back. Somehow I remember his antics playing a big part in our self destruction one of those years. He just completely lost it. Didn't he even have a minder or something?

That being said for such a small guy he was a competitive ****. If he could really still play sticking him on a line with Avery would be hilarious. Personally though if he's got a choice of somewhere else to go I don't think he's coming back here.

I'm sure Sather would love the publicity.

I read an excerpt from his book where he talks about how after games he'd hang out with homeless guys near the Hudson river around a burn barrel.

A camp invite wouldn't be too bad. I'd just love to see some pics of him skating around in a blue, at the least

Haha I was at that game, that was classic.

Yeah as it was previously mentioned, Claude Lemieux came back, Nedved attempted a comeback, I wouldn't mind seeing Fleury get a shot. Slight difference between playing in England and the NHL, but other than that, give it a shot.

Always liked Fleury but some guys just dont know when to give up. Coming back at what, 41 years old and being out of NHL for 6-7 years. Good luck to him.

What are you talking about? He played in 18 games and averaged around 7 minutes of ice time. It's a feel good story for some people and that's about it.

Before coming back to the States, Lemieux was playing in Korea, if memory serves.

There was a story about this comeback two months ago, It never really gained legs. It would be intresting to see if he could pull it off, & where would he sign? I can't see Theo being a "diffrence maker" anymore.

Pretty flimsy comparison.

That said I haven't bought tickets or Ranger merchandise since the lockout.
