Good News I love what Stewart brings to the table,I was just hoping bob would of sign him for more then just 1year but he's rights our still ours next summer also so I guess it ain't that bad

I was surprised when O'Byrne got a 3 year, 1 way deal last year, so maybe Gainey is just being a little more cautious with guys who haven't really proven a heck of a lot to date. Plekanec was just a case of getting him to be UFA eligible as soon as possible.

Gainey ain't of fan of longer term deals. I bet if he had his way, no one on the team would have a contract longer than 2 years.
