Thank you!

Yeah they're obviously missing some key guys but I'm glad what talent is available is coming (Tarasenko, Burmistrov, etc). One thing I did notice is the size of the players that are coming. They've got some giants on the squad they're bringing over.

p.s. I have a picture with this guy and there is no way he is 5'8! He is probably 5'8 with skates on. However, he is as thick as they come for an 18 yr old...Big Massive Legs and Strong upper body.
Considering he has gotten like 10 points in 3 games so far, I would say yes on his play.

By his injury, he sure seems fine out there.

I really hope Nick Leddy makes the team. He's looked good according to the Stat sheets in the scrimmages but I want to see him on the ice for real.

I think Leddy will make the team.

Or he just had a minor injury as was reported and is fine now. The prospect camp was in early July.

Well it doesn't really mean much but it's nice to see them dominate the Russians as they should have (Russia is missing some of their top players obviously).

Remember, US split squads have dominated both Sweden and Finland - with their best teams - in the past at the Evaluation Camp and then when making one team, we have choked in the actual tournament when the games mattered. Until our program gets consistent results out of our Junior program, I'm not overly optimistic.

I got to see them for the first time hands-on tonight.

Cam Fowler is really something special. Looks like he'll be a great PP QB someday.

Disappointed with Schroeder, but very impressed with Tyler Johnson.

IMO Johnson, Bourque, and Kreider are the 3 fastest players on the team.

Carlson is a monster defensively, looks like a real leader on this team.

How was Kristo? Sure he had two goals, but was he among the higher icetime people (key players)?

I think the difference makers this year could be Blais and Lee.

Wasn't watching him in particular, but he was actually on the top line with D'Amigo and Stepan. Has a good shot from what I saw. I'll pay more attention to him tomorrow.

Thanks. Judging by the assists on his PPG (Fowler and Moore), I guess he was on the first PP unit too.

I agree. I haven't had this much confidence in our goalies going into a tournament since Montoya was our keeper.

Dean Blais is also the best coach we've secured for the World Juniors since Mike Eaves.

I really don't remember much of him at all. I'll be sure to look tomorrow.

IMO these lines will not stick they had Morin, Budish, and Johnson on the 4th line. Czarnik was on the 3rd and I was not impressed.

To me, Kreider-Schroeder-Bourque will be the only line that sticks. That line can flat out fly.

The lines I'd love to see are:
Kreider-Schroeder-Bourque
Morin-Stepan-Palmieri
D'Amigo-Johnson-Kristo
Czarnik-McRae-Budish

I didn't notice much of the defense, outside of the amazing play of Fowler and Carlson.
