He used to be considered to be the guy that takes the Kings job from Quick. What happened to him? Is he still going to be a starter or is he a career AHL goalie?

He didn't play any in the AHL last season, and likely will be backup to begin with... He's not a career AHL:er, I doubt he'll ever be in the AHL again during a longer period of time. Neither is he a prospect.

He was never considered the guy who would steal Quick's job, because Quick was the one stealing the job.

Played solid when he had the chance but got tired as season went on... Very solid back up but can still steal games as a starter.

He had some small injury issues last season as well, which didn't help his cause much either.

Ersberg is a very technically sound goaltender, he still has a chance to be a starter but more likely a very good backup.

Hm by the sounds of it he's a good pickup for late in a keeper league draft. Thanks fellas.
