Roberto Luongo - No Chance
Jonas Hiller - No Chance
Marty Turco - You'd want him over Nabby? He had an even worse year.
Martin Biron - Nabby at 75% is better
Ray Emery - Hah
Vesa Toskala - More injury prone than Nabby
Chris Mason - NO chance
Dan Ellis - Maaaaybe. But longshot
Antero Niittymaki - Rather have Nabby
Jose Theodore - No better than Nabby
Pekka Rinne - No chance

So you've got 1 guy on that list that you have a longshot chance at. A bunch of guys that are no better than Nabby (or worse) and you haven't even accounted for Nabby signing for around the same money, I'd take Nabby.

Stop throwing the guy under the bus. He's done a lot for this org and one bad season (not even that bad) does not make him trash. Have some respect for the best goalie in Shark's franchise history.

Are all UFA's
I see Luongo and Hiller as upgrades (and I don't think they will see UFA). Turco I'd say is on par. The only other one on that list I'd be interested in is Rinne and I think the Preds are gonna hold onto him

If history repeats itself then whoever is the backup in Nashville will end up stealing the starting job (it seems to happen every year for them, Mason over Vokoun, Ellis over Mason, Renne over Ellis)

What's up with the strange phenomenon of people thinking Marleau will resign for 4 or 5 mil? What makes you think that? You think Patty is a nice guy or something? He won't sign for anything less than 6, or 5.9

Look at my nationality, and I still say it is much too premature to be calling Hiller the better goaltender. He is younger, so you may like that, but talent-wise, Hiller is quite unproven...

Not at all. Hiller stonewalled our team and helped push Detroit to 7 games.

Well, rumors are that the cap is going down next summer. In addition Patty is taking a hit to his leadership credentials at this time. Plus, if you look at his stats w/o playing with Joe. As a ufa i'm sure he could get over 6m next summer. GIven, that he wants to stay in SJ and that they want him he might sign for less - it's called the home team discount.

Hiller didn't even have to move to stop the Sharks' shots, every shot went straight to his logo. Meanwhile in the Detroit series he did show some talent, but he was also lit up and gave up a few softies in some of the games. Hiller is still unproven.
