According to the Sharks fans, this has more to do with the 'change' that Doug Wilson was talking about. It didn't necessarily mean that they were making wholesale changes to the roster (Dany Heatley), but rather changing around the leadership of the group, and establishing new roles.
I figure Boyle will get it. Marleau will be offered another contract, but at a much lower rate and will probably walk.
I'm still curious if they're going to swing some kind of trade though. Some sort of roster move seems warranted.
Toronto would gladly welcome Marleau, as our first line C.
I've always had faith that he'll come through in the postseason sooner than later. He's a very good player and his two-way ability is underrated. He's got speed to burn and could be a great personality to have with the kids we already have.
