I've actually been very impressed with the new Bauer Vapor X series gloves. Since taking over Itech, Bauer has really improved their gear. But yeah the Vaugh series is sick stuff!

I've only ever owned one Pro-level set of gloves (the last year of Nike Bauer Vapor XXX's, the ones made before production moved from Canada to Taiwan). They are pretty damn sick. The puck just dies in the trapper (no pop outs at all), and the blocker feels very natural on your hand.

They both dry quickly, are pretty light, and feel good when you're handling the puck.

Personally, i love the Vaughn stuff. Very comfortable and takes up tons of space. So just post your blocker/trapper pair and say why you like them too i guess

Just ordered some V2 7000's. I think the glove closes better. Never liked the V3 glove. Never tried the V3 blocker, but I liked the V2 so I went with it.

Best glove I've had was a T 5500 by Vaughn and the best blocker was the Velocity 7000

The best blocker / trapper pair is _________ and __________. Regardless of your style, technique, preferences, body, reflexes, budget, and every other little idiosyncrasy. These are the absolute best set of gloves and everyone should buy them, because they will unquestionably be better for every goalie out there.

Well, except for Dan Blackburn.

I asked a similar question in the other goalie thread but what do goalies look for in trappers, blockers and pads? What sets one trapper apart from another for example.
