Pushkarev

I am looking for clips of Konstantin Pushkarev so if any of you have clips they can share I would really like to see them. I would also like to hear your OPINIONS on his style and who he would compare to in the modern day NHL. Thanks!

Don't have any clips but having watched him play a couple of times, I would compare him to more physical Ladislav Nagy.

Wow. Nagy? I had the privilege of seeing Nagy a few times and I was very impressed. If he is comparable to Nagy I think we got a major steal.

I don't know if he's physical so much as dirty - I didn't see him throwing many hits in Friday's game, but he did go into the corners with his stick at eye-level a couple of times. He seemed a little out-of-sync with Getzlaf and Ladd, but they're still getting adjusted to each other. And he has no trouble keeping up with those two - in fact, more often than not, he was the one leading them into the offensive zone. Definitely has excellent offensive skills, it's just a matter of getting them to work in a team context. (I was actually a bit more impressed by Tomanek, Calgary's other Euro-rookie - he was working hard at backchecking, good to see in a guy that new to the league.)

I don't know if dirty is the word, he's just adapting to the more physical game. Saprykin wen through a similar phase. They go out all gung ho but just really haven't learned how to hit properly a the WHL level. THe longer he is here, the better he will get at it. I'm sure the coaching staff has brough it up.
