Seems that Larsson's weight is up to 100 kg(220 lbs).

Wow, already? Source?
Considering his father Robert was listed at 100kg, I thought it was very likely Adam could reach about the same size since he has about the same frame, but Im surprised he's there already. Last I read he was listed for 91 or 92 kg.

usually they take official weights. since his weight changed, i suppose that he was on a weighing machine lately, maybe at a U-national team invitation?

I've posted updated weight on Rundblad in this forum, inoffical weight from an interview. Hours later they updated Rundblads weight on Eliteprospects.com. Now, only a few hours after my previous post in this very thread, they have changed Adam Larsson's weight back to 91kg. Strange.

Anyway, of course one would expect a kid of 16y of age to still be growing. I was just so surprised I had missed the info on Larsson suddenly having grown so much. But maybe I havent missed anything... up 9kg in less than a year is quite some growth, if that happens to be the case.

not strange. what you describe is the strength of eliteprospects. they have their eyes and ears everywhere.
their editors read here too, some even post. not hard to figure them out.

maybe they made a mistake and realized it. the EP guys do the best they can to get official data.

Last year in June he was listed at 187 cm 91 kg. Now I seriosuly doubt that a 16 y.o. hasn't grown at all during a whole year.

189/91 is from official site of Skelleftea, Rundblad is listed at 187/85 there, Erixon at 187/86. Which is obviously way outdated.

Adam Larsson is no way near 220 ibs.
I talked to Tim erixson when both Larsson and Rundblad was with him and i would say AL was abot 195 ibs.
Seems to mee that they are telling weights from the players with their gear on.
Skellefteå Aik has the past 4 years been summer traing at my gym and i have seen moost of them workingout.

Two assists against Canada yesterday and two goals against the Czechs tonight in Ivan Hlinka memorial tournament.

Not bad. And they seem to only record first assists too (?).

They record primary and secondary, it's only on that Czech site they show the one assist.

I really want to watch some of these Ivan Hlinka Mem. games. I'm kicking myself everytime I think about it.

Yeah it only seems to be that live score site. Apparently Adam had another assist yesterday so he's 2+3 in two games against two formidable opponents. I know it's just two games but I can't help getting excited about this kid. Hedman - Larsson in the Olympics 2018?

This is the hype thread after all. Words to consider using when speaking about Adam Larsson in this thread are: "1st Overall", "Norris" and "Generational Talent"

aaah, finally someone who got the idea behind this thread.

but you forgot the obvious "the next lidström", since every good swedish D is the next lidström.

Yes, "the next Lidström" is definately a good one. Maybe build on it a little since the next Lidström has been used so much. We don't want people to believe that he's the next Strålman, that would seriously damage the cause.

What about "he'll be as good as Lidström, only more physical" or "He's a Lidström with the toughness and physique of Chara"?

No, how about "the one Lidström wished he was".

Adam was awarded Player of the game in his first senior game last night.
A pre-season game of course.

Yeah, he had a pretty good game despite Skellefteå playing rather poorly, overshadowing both Rundblad and Erixon. And he was awarded best Skellefteå player, not necessarily best player of the game (which according to me was Viktor Lindgren).

So do you guys think he'll get to play regularly next year? Seems like it would be hard for them to field so many youngsters on their D, but still he seems like something truly special.

In Skellefteås 2-3 loss tonight against Luleå , Larsson had 1 goal and 1 assist . He was award player of the game (for skellefteå). His goal came on the PP.

The guy is 16. He has played two games for the senior team, has scored 1+1 and been named man of the match on both occasions.

Ok, it's pre-season and everything. But that's extremely impressive!

He's amazing, I haven't seen him yet but what I've heard is that he's been really good these two matches. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets to play against FBK in the première. I'd rather have him play than Strandberg...
