Really? I thought it was just a minor injury to his collarbone, and that he was a thought of as day to day.

i read something about that on the red deer rebels site, but phaneuf hasnt played in 3 or 4 games... hopefully they're just playing it safe

If you check the WHL Injury List it show Phaneuf is out with a shoulder injury on a day to day basis. I don't know much more that that and I am not sure if the WHL site is correct in it's information?

If it is a separated shoulder, it is weird. Suter came down with a similar injury at about the same time.

Brent Sutter said he expected Phaneuf back last night against the Kelowna Rockets. He is still day-to-day, I would expect him back tommorow night against the Giants.

Hopefully he gets right back in the groove of things, he was dominating.

He did not play against the Giants. Without him in the line up, Red Deer got pounded 10-3 in the last two games. (5-1L to Kelowna and 5-2L to Van.)
