Cape Breton is definitely gonna be at the top of the Atlantic next season. It will be a good battle between the Seadogs and the Eagles.

Just hope that Bernard won't be as stupid as he was last year...

Martin Lapperrière, the Remparts assisant coach said that Quebec is losing 10 players to NHL camps at the beginning of September.

Paquette - Atlanta
Gilbert - Chicago
Cusack - Colorado
Delmas - Colorado
Tessier - Colorado
Bourque - New York (R)
Groulx - San Jose
Kugryshev - Washington

And the other two must be between Néron, Tam and Vallerand.

Hopefully, they won't keep them too long.

Wildcats played a pre-season game tonight, wasn't there but from what I saw we creamed Cape Breaton 7-2! Obviously it's rookies, but a good, good sign.

Bussierres had a goal and 2 a's on the same line with the Saulniers. Looking good so far for the 2009 draft class.

PEI

Casavant (91) Champagne (90) Mahbod (89)
Doyle (90) Duffy (92) Struthers (90)
MacLean (91) Escott (91) Street (91)
Corbo (93) Currie (92) Bouchard (90)
Wright (90)

Southorn (90) Mathieu (91)
Polacek (91) Guay (89)
Lacroix (90) Oligny (93)

There will probably be 2 more spots at forward probably Harris(92) & Linteau(92) with possibly 1 of them going home after NHL camps are done

St-Germain had a pretty good camp, and played 2 exhibition games so far. He's a lock on the Shawi's line-up this year.

Verroneau will be in CB until Roy gets back from Edmonton's camp then he'll get sent back to Midget.

He's had a solid camp and is definitely a good prospect for the future.

Things like this is why I don't understand why the Q wants to start it's season a week earlier than the OHL and WHL does. Starting a week later would allow for more players to get back from NHL camps in time for the start of the season. But nope instead the Q wants to put a very poor product on the ice. This doesn't make a whole lot of sense considering that home openers are almost always well attended but some people checking out a game for the first time may never come back after what they see. Then again these things should come as no surprise to anyone as this is the Q we're talking about.

I don't know. Starting camp in mid-August, I understand... but why starting the season so early? Do they feel that it would be too long to wait more than one month between the beginning of the camp and the beginning of the season? Maybe...

Hopefully, they won't miss too much this year, NHL camps start a week earlier because of Olympics, so they should come back a week earlier.

Etienne Marcoux will probably be Montreal's starter to kick things off this year.

Allen will probably last a while at St.Louis' camp, but Berube should be back sooner. Marcoux will have to hold the fort until then, he has had a good camp but he is still only 16 and he his not ready for the Q in my opinion.

As of right now, Saint John's lineup is something like:

Hoffman - Kirkpatrick - Galiev
Pard - Ouellet - Petersen
Thomas - Anthony - Jurco
Leduc - MacAuley - Gauthier

Kelly, Huberdeau, Phillips

Sauve - Beaulieu
Gagne - Despres
Durepos - MacEwan

Lecomte, Sock

St Laurent
Spear

roster

Le duc a 20 on your fourth line ??
Hoffman is not coming !
Gauthier a right winger ?
Pard a left winger ?
Galiev granted first line status ?
Thomas a right winger ?

Bealieu and sauve together ?

I could go on but wont , the Sea dogs play at Harbout Station in St John, get out to a game so you are better able to evaluate

From what I've seen, the player Alexandre has the most chemistry with is MacAuley...this is the kind of team that is deep enough to have a legitimate 20 on the 4th line...

Hoffman is not coming? Really? Where did you see that? Because he hasn't even tried out for Ottawa/Bingo yet...maybe you should wait until one of them makes a decision on him to say he isn't coming...

Pard playing the left...well, he kinda played the left every game he played last year...the only thing that has put him on the right this year has been the fact that he has been playing with Kirky and usually Oke...

I'm not sure that I'd say that Galiev has "first line status"...in my line-up, we have a 1A, 1B, 1C situation...any could be the first...besides that, if he is any better than Jurco, he will deserve to be on the first line...

Again with Thomas, he played right wing ALL of last year...if you don't like what side my wingers are on, flip them...it doesn't make a huge difference since most of our wingers are playing the opposite side to last year...

The D...copy and paste error...thanks for pointing that out, because my defense should have read something like:

Durepos - Sauve
McEwan - Despres
Gagne - Beaulieu

Sauve, Beaulieu, and Despres need to be our right side...

20's dont play on the 4th line when your first rounder ,your 2nd rounder and a guy that gave up a full ride NCAA scholarship dont make line up, its becaus of the depth that 20's dont play there..
felt comfortable speculating about hoffman since your entire post was just that speculation including galiev who hasnt shown yet..
headed to NS will report on game,
