Eklund: "Rangers may be Heatley's only option"

What, no one posted that Eklund is now saying that the Rangers may be Heatley's only option?

Bruce Garrioch thinks Heatley is headed to San Jose

Then again, Garrioch has about as much credibility as Eklund.

It's like watching two one legged men in an ass kicking contest

if the rangers get heatley, they will make the playoffs for sure, which is good.
if they also get heatley, the rangers will have the least likable players from an outside perspective in
avery, brashear, and heatley. it will be awesome

All I think you need to do is read this article to piece together where Heatley is going to end up next season: http://senators.nhl.com/team/app/?se...ticleid=487089

To be fair, he's been dead on regarding a couple of players that the Flyers signed and assigned to their AHL club

if we get Heatley we'll also have huge cap issues with Staal due for a pay rise next offseason.

No matter what happens the rest of this off season, it's almost certain that Sather will have to move another big contract next year to make cap room for Staal, Girardi and (if he stays) Dubinsky.

Fakelund said don't worry the Phillies and Jays will strike a deal for Doc Holladay. Two days later, the Phillies acquired Cliff Lee. He should stick to just being wrong in one sport.

The Rangers are not involved with Dany Heatley.

Not that I'm saying were getting him but I don't see san Jose acquiring him either, IMO that would ruin their team, on top of the fact that you still need another team to take Marlaeu's cntract

“As far as a diminished role, it was very slightly diminished, and in my opinion it wasn’t diminished. It might have been “second power play,” but that wasn’t a punishment. That was to try and spread out the scoring. Everybody knows his production actually went up over the last while as well. Did I learn a whole heck of a lot more? No. Not necessarily.”

League sources say Senators GM Bryan Murray is actively pursuing a Heatley deal with the San Jose Sharks.

Clouston is getting ready for two scenarios: One that includes the two-time 50-goal scorer as part of the picture and one if he gets dealt.
Middle-ish.

Inferno, Im not doubting you by any means, I do read your site alot and agree with 95% of what you say however I am just curious...

When did you start getting sources and how good of a source is it because I am a huge huge supporter of Heater to NYR and this would brighten my day.

So far the only thing he's gotten right this summer is the Flyers signing Brian Boucher...............WOW! And he celebrated like he finally "got one". The guy is a joke and I have no clue how he has his own show on satellite radio.

If you want to talk about Heatley, talk about Heatley.

Everyone here knows Eklund's track record, so you can choose to believe or not. At this point, the rumor provides nothing more than a jumping off point, again, for the discussion. If you have nothing to add other than your lack of respect for his site, we ask that you just move on and let the topic die the death it rightfully deserves.
