Hopefully this means no Schneider as we go;

Salo-Mitchell
Bieksa-Edler
Erhoff-O'Brien
Lukowich
Rome
Nycholat.

There goes our capspace too, but a huge upgrade on the backend for two underachieving prospects.
wonder if Matty failed his physical

Would make sense. We'll be making another deal too since this puts us over the cap.

Pat White is still predicted to develop into a Shawn Horcoff or Andrew Cogliano player and Daniel Rahimi could develop into a good 3-4 d-man--this could be a deal that bites the nucks in the ass in in a few years

I just don't believe it. Um, so should we send them a draft pick to even it out a bit? At least a third, probably a second would make it fair.

Does this mean that Schneider failed his physical?

The Mike Gillis waiting game pays off!

How is Ehrhoff's first pass out of the zone though?

I'm willing to take that risk... I don't think either player will be a NHL regular, but that's just my guess...

I like the deal, but I don't think it's the rip-off Canucks fans are making it out to be - we just saved the Sharks about $5 million in cap space.

It wasn't long ago that we were debating whether Rahimi or White deserved the #16 spot on the prospect list.

No he's not Cogliano was leaps and bounds ahead of White at a comparable stage in their careers.

Finally 7 NHL defensemen...
no pt to sign Schneider now, maybe he is off to SJ instead. they need a Dman coming back for sure somewhere. Maybe FA list, Bergeron, Bouillon, Seidenberg

It's brilliant.

Literally, only way I can see Wilson justifying this is if Ottawa is still high on White. Like high as ****, and they can get Heatley for White + Cheechoo and a pick or something.

Still can't believe it's actually legit and not on ****ing *************. Wow.

Yeah, obviously the cap space has value but it's not as though either defender the Canucks received are on inflated contracts. In Ehrhoff's case, he's very good value at $3.1 million/year.
