Nucks / Ott - Heatley

I don't do this often, but ill give it a shot.

Bieksa - (No trade clause is the main reason, also he is a damn good player and chip to play).
Demitra - (Puts up decent amount of point's, Not physical and a disappointment, Salary Dump but still could be useful for ottawa).

~Pick One Of These~
Grabner - Very skilled offensive prospect we have, Could use work on his defensive game).
Schneider - Currently the top rated goalie to not have played played consistently in the NHL, Could be franchise goalie one day).

FOR

Dany Heatley - (Very skilled player, Has some problems with his charecter but will be overlooked when he puts up 50goals for the canucks).

Bieksa does not have a no trade clause.

It would be a good deal, but the Canucks would be screwed next season, likely losing both Kesler and Mitchell.

That's what I put, He has no (no trade clause) so he is move able.

We'd be in cap hell. I just can't see us picking up Heatley while we have the Sedin twins.

This year we'd be fine, and we could still potentially bring in Sundin to center a Heatley-Sundin-Kesler line as well.

Don't like it. Don't like Heatley on this team. Any trade of this magnitude should be for a big centre.

Like who? Vincent Lecavalier?

I'd chose Grabner personally, but it would be a package for Kessel and not Heatley though.

Youd better hope those four players can win us a cup, because we aren't going to be able to afford depth otherwise.

We've tried being a one line team. It doesn't work. Lets move on. Depth is key, and we've got it in spades. A couple quick, low key moves to put us comfortably under the salary cap is all we need.

Losing all the depth Gillis has, imo worked fairly hard to pile up would be silly.

This is a nice enough deal, but I wouldn't want Heatley on the Canucks. They're trying to win a cup, not a fantasy league.

I like the team without Dany Heatley on it. Who knows how badly he could screw up the room. I would rather they dump Demitra and bring back Sundin.

Only way this would work is if we don't re-sign Luongo. There's no cap space for it beyond this year otherwise

It'll cost too much in assets to get him and too much in cap space to keep him. No thanks to Heatley.
