Mitchell better have an injury because what a disgusting display of hockey he showed us in this second round.

I'm a Mitchell supporter (I wanted him to be captain), but my goodness that was awful. Looked like Marek Malik out there.

Its a pretty normal thing for injuries to finally leak out once a team is out of the playoffs. Its not an excuse, every team in the NHL is beat up right now. Its a fact of life.

He's been playing like a beast too. Now if the rest of our lineup...

So turn out Burrows did indeed have a wrist injury. Nailed it! Although to be fair, it was pretty obvious.

And not only a wrist injury. Also, thumb and hip flexor injury.

Sundin's was a knee injury.

He got hurt on a hit by Brian Campbell.

Not Seabrook, Not Eager, Not Byfuglien... Campbell

Hell, he couldn't even outscore Naslund in these playoffs.

Yeah, the last thing we want is a guy with 300+ career goals healthy on opening night.

I'm not the biggest Demitra fan, but he takes a bit too much heat. He still puts up fine 2nd line production, and of course we want him healthy. He's still a 20-25 goal, 60-65 point player.

Yogi doesn't want Demitra or Samuelsson in the line-up.

They are reporting on the Team today that Demitra has said he won't be ready for opening night. They didn't get into how long he'll be out.

Demitra Still Hurt

VANCOUVER — Vancouver Canucks forward Pavol Demitra, who had major off-season shoulder surgery will not be ready to start the regular season, he said Tuesday.

"They told me six more weeks to go, but I am shooting for the middle of October," Demitra said.

"Day-by-day it's getting better. You never know."

Demitra tore the rotator cuff in his left shoulder during the second round of the playoffs against the Chicago Blackhawks.

It does not appear LTIR material - 10 regular season games and 24 days.
