Guess its a decent depth move as he's always had 2nd/3rd line type offensive capacities. Hasn't he had some concussion issues recently that have limited his ice time the past few years? In much the same sense as I feel about Ryan Craig, I'm just not sure how Parrish's strengths and weaknesses mesh well with the rest of the team as assembled.

We're bordering on having too many pieces everywhere. The more added, the more I fear an upcoming trade sends out someone I'd rather it didn't.

He is in negotiations for a tryout with the team, as well as with the Islanders, if no one signs him by camp. He has not signed with the team yet. (Parrish)

But we need Subban, Halak and a 2nd for Vinny and our next 10 1sts. As our d is so bad, same with our goalies. And a Montreal 2nd beats any 10 1sts we are lucky they will give us that much.

he also costs more than a lot of the other D, which could be a good enough reason to move him.
