David Poile announced today that the club has signed restricted free agent forward Cal O’Reilly to a two-year, contract. The first season of the contract will pay him $550,000 at the NHL level and $105,000 at the AHL level, while the second season is a one-way deal worth $575,000.
Good deal! Two-way contract for this year at a reasonable level. Allows flexibility in our roster situation. Cal gets a one-way deal next year. Best of both worlds...a very fair compromise.
They usually close the Sportsplex to the public on Sundays. I wonder if that will be the case on the first Sunday on the ice.
Wouldn't doubt it, it is not a Predators decision, but rather a Metro budget decision. In the past, they have not wanted to open the building to the public without any activities going on inside other than the Predators.
Will that change now? I doubt it...
Now, one must wonder though...will the rookie training camp (reporting September 9th) be open to the public prior to departing for Atlanta?
