Aw, I was kind of hoping the Kings would go after him to replace Gauthier.

Gauthier has been replaced, and it doesn't matter which guy it is, because they're all better.

I don't get what's so funny. We currently have 5 defenseman, and McLaren said he'd play for league minimum...oh I get it. Since it says Rangers you have to make a rather overly-told un-funny joke.

Sather did it just to prevent the Devils from inviting him and potentially adding to their already impressive and extensive collection of borderline NHL defensemen.

I really want all the Staal to have their names on the cup. I hope this means they will be able to trade Marc Staal.

Who proved to be better defensively than the Rangers defenseman lol.

But I find it funny because I've seen Ranger fans start threads about McLaren and he shows up with an invite. Then one for Kotalik, and of course, signs. I'm just wondering if Sather reads HF Boards and takes you guys up on the suggestions.

Sather reading HFboards would explain a lot of the questionable moves he has done...

But to add on to that I swear I made a post somewhere about how it made complete sense for the Rangers to sign Vinny Prospal before it actually happened.

Sather needs all of the help he can get.

McLaren has Mark Messier's fingerprints all over it. Messier's old man was McLaren's former agent.

Of course,Rangers assistant director of player personnel Jeff Gorton knows McLaren extremely well from their Boston days. Gorton is the Bruins ex-AGM.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that one too hahaha. Seriously, it's scary. Don't suggest signing Parise to an offer sheet, jerks.

Good for McLaren. Hip check Crosby as many times as possible, please?

I like how McLaren getting a try-out for the Rangers starts a Devils-Rangers pissing match

Hopefully he can stick, it'd be great if he could be the #6 or #7 defenseman.
