Season Tickets are Here

They look good as usual but with a different look. They are put together more in the form of a book with the tickets ripping out sideways. The theme on them are quotes " I will defend the flag" I will guard the blueline from all who invade" I shall impose my will upon my opponents" and so forth. The cover says " Let Fandom ring 'n resound throughout our nation."

Interesting quotes, drop the puck!!

Wow ... is this earlier than usual? Or have I perhaps been renewing later and later each year?

Nevermind. Just realized we're only a couple weeks away from the pre-season.

Drop the damned puck, already!

Training camp, and the season are starting earlier this year due to the Olympics. I think last year the tickets came a week later.

But, I agree, drop the puck!

On a side note. I went and picked up my Steve Mason picture tonight at the arena. Steve was there to autograph them. What a hell of a nice kid. I got there around 7:30 and there was no line at all. I just walked up and was able to talk to him for a bit. The bouncers didn't even object to pictures with him, as they have often done in the past.

I told Mase to win the Vezina this year, and he said he was going to give it his best shot. Kid smiled the entire time.

They were also putting the ice down. They were almost done with the first layer, which will be painted before the next layer goes down. Was interesting to watch how they did it.

Damn, it all got me excited for Sept. 21st!

Have they always done the book? Ours came yesterday. Last year we just got a plain ol' stack Ticketmaster style tickets for our ST. We got them like a week before the preseason last year, so that might be why we got those. I love the huge opening night ticket.

If I wasn't afraid of losing the book, I would just take that to every game to get in to keep it in tact, but if something ever happened to it and ruined or lost my tickets, I would be devastated.

Yep...they've done special tickets every year for the season tickets. We framed our innaugeral game ticket with the giant first game photo.

I have heard of other fans taking the whole book to the game to scan. Another option is printing off an E-ticket from the bluejackets website through your season ticket holder account, but I think this costs $1 or so per ticket.

What happened to getting cool coupons on the last page of the ticket book? This is the 2nd year in a row with no coupons. Years past have been like 50% off jersey customization and free tickets to H.S. state finals games, free pepsis and popcorn, etc. I miss that!

I heard those coupons cost them $80 million over the past 7 years. Hey! I just solved the budget problem!

Last year, I scanned the whole book and kept a .jpg file. Then I kept the tickets too.

I was sitting last night waiting for the Mason thing with a guy who has the tickets intact from every season, including first. He brings the book to every game in a ziplock bag, has them scan the correct ticket, then stows it away.

There's no way i could do it... I would lose/rip/spill beer on/forget it!

That's what I'm afraid of. I like the scan/print idea.

Mine were in the door when I got home tonight ... good stuff!

I do remember not having renewed until after the pre-season schedule had started last season. That was the first time I recall just not being emotionally into the start of another season.

Amazing what one year and a competitive team/playoff appearance can do to one's outlook. This has already been a LONG summer, and we've still got another couple of weeks ...

Yes, if CBJNut or Inquiring Minds could post the scanned copies of their, let's say, Jackets-Pens game tickets, I would really appreciate it. I just want to see them for, um, artistic reasons. Yeah, that's it.
