(LW) Alex Tanguay - 1st line with Vinny and St. Louis

(RW) Ryan
(RW) Phil Kessel - Trade bait for a Center?

(D) Nicklas Lidstrom
(D) Andrei Markov
(D) Dennis Wideman
(D) Fedor Tyutin
(D) Kimmo Timonen

(G) Lundqvist
(G) Thomas
(G) Chris Mason

1. Sidney Crosby (Pit - C)
2. Rick Nash (Cls - LW)
3. Alexander Semin (Was - RW)
4. Henrik Lundqvist (NYR - G)
5. Tim Thomas (Bos - G)
6. Paul Kariya (StL - LW)
7. Bobby Ryan (Anh - RW)
8. Nicklas Lidstrom (Det - D)
9. Andrei Markov (Mon - D)

You certainly have more depth but I still think my team wins. Your defense is much better but my goalies absolutley destroy yours. My wings are slighlt better and my Centers are about the same untill I trade Kessel.

Lundquist maybe...but Chris Mason and Thomas, really? Kariya and Tanguay have an advantage over Byfuglien - but Hemsky and Setoguchi trump Semin and Ryan. And Backstrom's season last year is hard to argue with. He's no Crosby, but my depth of Kopitar and Koivu I think give me more than Krejci gives you.

I don't think there's anything wrong with your team, I think you will do well. My boys would smoke them though.

8 Team league
Not impressed, a stacked team in a 30 man league with solid hockey minds ould be something to brag about.

Every squad in an 8 teamer will be solid.

Why not? Semin shuts down for periods of time - just like Hemsky. And Setoguchi plays with either Joe Thornton or Patrik Marleau every night.

+2... That roster would be far more impressive if it was even a 12 team league.

The fact you took Crosby means you had a top-3 pick, and thus your 2nd pick was somewhere between 14 and 16th. That means you took Lundqvist probably somewhere between 30th and 32nd.

In a 14-team league, if Lundqvist goes 30th to 32nd, he's going VERY early in the 3rd round. That's a monster difference compared to one of the last picks of the 4th round.
