No one around here was concerned about Eminger anyhow.

De did well playing more minutes than he should have to lead an AHL defense at best last season for the Lightning. Unfortunately, the Lightning ended up with Welch, who appears to be dumber than rocks.

the trade was more or less a salary dump because we wouldnt be able to sign him this year

And we got the 3rd round pick that was used to move up and grab Ashton.

I was going to post a reply on the main board to all the people saying he's the worst D ever, but I thought for a second, "oh, I'm dealing with flyers and caps fans...I shouldn't even try".

he looked good paired with Ranger, and he did good for us, so that's all I have to say about him.

It was more like it got us into revenue sharing. We had about 12 million reasons to move him.

Worst D ever? Nah. But lets be honest. Traded to Flyers on draft day. Traded to Tampa Bay. Traded to Florida. Not qualified by Florida. Thats four NHL teams in the course of one season removing him from their roster. Thats not really an endorsement.
