ACC makeover will make fans happy

Quote:
To get the most from MLSEL's new $3 million, 30x50 outdoor HD video board and public square, its owners need 6,000 people watching a late-spring hockey or basketball playoff game.

"At the end of the day, the engine that drives everything is our teams," executive vice-president for venues Bob Hunter said at yesterday's unveiling of $48 million in ACC improvements.

Fans will be able to watch games outside of the ACC thanks to the new 50’ x 30’ foot high definition screen that cost $3 million. But when there's a big game here, say the Leafs in the second or third round, we think there would be an incredible atmosphere, like a mini-Times Square."

That is the BEST out of all of the improvements, it will be a HUGE hit!! I'm so excited about that, I hope the fans will get to watch on it this Spring.

See ya bar scene. I'm heading down to the ACC to watch the leafs playoff games outside, if I can't get a ticket.

ya, that was the point. reading its 50x30 says a lot more than your "its huge" contribution

do u think they would actually put some seats out there? I wouldn't mind going to watch the game from out there.
What i usually do is wait outside until the end of the 1st then i buy any left over tickets from the scalpers for great price. The only -ve to this is that i miss half the game, but this way i can watch wile waiting.
AND you can watch the game outside and have a nice case of cold brews right beside you. EVERYONE WINS! LOVE IT! cant wait to see it sep.16th

No no problem. Just put the case of beers in a bag and pour the beers in a coffee mug. OR tim's cup. Especially in middle of winter. No one will bother you.

If I'm sitting outside in winter in Canada, "cold brews" won't be my first drink of choice.

How many people are going to go to watch regular season games? I don't think very many. I think playoff games will be nuts though and the weather will be much better.

I don't have a digital box, so no LeafsTV....so the nights with games on LeafsTV when I'm not working...I may check it out...if it's not too cold

I think for sure they'd put road playoff games on there.

I recall during the playoffs road games, the fans were allowed in the ACC to watch the game on the Jombothrone. (sp)

May be a stupid question, but will they be providing audio of a TV telecast also for those watching outside?

Open up the Sky Dome!!

If it's a playoff game....after no playoffs for soooo long, The city is gonna have to close down streets!
