What's Your Fave Type Of Goal To Score?

What type of goal feels the most rewarding to score for you?
For me, it's the one-timer. In order, mine would be listed as follows:

one-timer
breakaway
deflection
beating the goalie top shelf (snap or wrister usually)
backhand
rebound

Breakaways can be fun and creative but there isnt a better feeling in hockey than roofing a wrister top shelf.

Oh yeah, especially when it's one of those shots you're not expected to score on, i.e. just coming down the wing with no screen or anything and just straight beating a good goalie.

I'd add a slapshot to that feeling as well. I'm a defenseman, so if I get a chance to really just lay into a shot and straight beat a goalie, that's awesome too.

Also includes one-timer. I don't see many breakaways I guess setting up those deflections is fun too.

I voted breakway because my shot sucks, but my favourite goal I've ever scored was a wrist shot. It just doesn't happen enough for me.

In traffic, when you battle with someone and just manhandles him and then can score.

Rebounds and deflections, I understand completely. I really love deflecting a shot out of the air while battling and stunning the goalie.

Deflections with a D-Man trying to wrestle you away from the crease. Nothing better then the look on a goalie's face after a shot that was well wide gets redirected behind him.

My favorite goal I've ever scored was a wrister just over the blue line. Walked in, shot between the defenders legs. The shot itself look like the release on a Kovalchuk shot, it was nice.

Pinged off crossbar/post corner and in.

I'd have to say redirects, even the most simple of redirects are just so satisfying. I remember once I was wide of the net and my defender shot wide and low, coming straight for me, I redirected it enough to hit the inside of the right post, slide across the goal line, hit the left post, and go in. It was probably my favorite goal ever. Pretty much mostly luck but still awesome.

A one timer in my beer league is so rare they are defiently the most satisfying. Also agree with coming down the wing and just ripping a wrister past a good goalie. That is very very satisfying.

One timers seem so primal and predatory, for lack of better words. Sneak into the right position, call for the pass, then throw all your power into the shot. Love 'em.

Rebound, because that's the closest to "garbage goal", ie. hard working, blue collar goal.

Any goal I score I like. Though, if I had to pick, I'd say backhanders as I suck at them and never expect to score with them.

I've only ever scored a few backhand goals in a real game...

Of course a pretty roofed wrister is nearly unbeatable....but I love popping it in on the doorstep after battling with the defensemen. Nothing takes the energy out of a team (and a goalie) when you score at them at the top of the crease.

I think that goal I mentioned was my favorite, but my favorite type of goal to consistently score is one from hardwork.. i.e work off the forecheck, backcheck pucksteal type deal. My reputation on my team and league is of a hardworker so it pays off.

Mine would have to be from about 3 feet out in a big ugly scrum for a loose puck...cause thats the only kind of goal I score.

One-timer from the off wing has become my trademark, so to speak.

one timers are fun, and so is any goal bar down. But my personal favorite is coming in on the left side (im right handed) on a 2 on 1, put the puck in a position where i can pass or shoot, and look pass the whole way. Then no-look the shot and score.

While I love breakaway goals, I love wristers from the slot much more. Whether it's a one timer, a rebound, or me taking the puck in from the boards and wristing it, beating the goalie on a clean wrister is a wonderful feeling.

My fav goals are tic-tac-toe that result in an empty net tap-in with teamates. Makes the defense look like chumps and the goalie gets totally owned.

That or individually, where you school the defender 1 v 1 with a dangle and score.
