Ottawa automatically becomes a lot better if Leclaire comes back in shape... The Heatley drama will definitely affect them in the first month or so though.

Alot of teams have that same IF factor. Philly with their goalie, Toronto with their goalie (ok maybe not ) and so on. How about us with Price ?

Adding Antropov definitely helps Atlanta, and if they also sign Zerdev (which is rumoured) I would definitely say they've improved. I see them as the team in the East who can move up the second most from last year (TBay is 1st).

NJ will struggle this year.. they lost Gionta and Elias is already injured.. I dont think Lemaire and Trembley can get anything more out of this team..

I expect the wild to end at the bottom of the standing in the West..

Calgary have a great bunch of Defensemen and a great goaltender but they have a sick lack of depth up front...

I think the Rags wont make the playoffs..

Kovalev in Ottawa is only going to make them a lot harder to play against.

Every coach in the NHL knows that if you give Kovalev an inch, he will score. Kovalev is one of the most skilled players in the NHL. Like GM Murray said something to the effect of: "Kovalev is not signed here to score every night. Kovalev is signed here because he can win games by himself and whenever he does that it will be beneficial for the team."

With Leclaire in nets, if he stays healthy, Ottawa will be a tough team to play this year.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Kovy is talented as hell, but he is also one of the laziest players in the NHL, and he gets away with alot of **** other players would be traded for. I can just imagine Kovy and Spezza on the same line...some great backcheck going on there...

Kovalev may kill the habs, but overall the Sens still have the same budget D that couldn't clear the zone last season.

Leclaire could be back to 2007 form, or maybe he'll regress (playing for a crappy D in Ottawa vs. a tight one in columbus), or maybe he'll just get injured again. I give them props for trying to solve their goaltending issues, but it's still a bigger question mark than most teams.

The biggest issue is still the D. Even with the Heatly trade they had a chance to shift some offence for D, instead they just got back more winger depth.
