Straw, I thought he was made out of glass.

Rozsival has an injury history too. He actually had surgery last offseason. The next time we hear he is a little banged up or a little sore I will start crying too now that I know that is the proper way to go about it. Thanks.

i really had hopes that this surgery fixed most of his problems, and while the first two days of training camp don't really mean that much, i'm still a bit worried. let's hope for the best, there ain't much we can do anyways.

Let's see how he feels tomorrow and more importantly Tuesday, let's not look too much into it for the moment, we don't have all the informations. Go ask Sanguinetti if he isn't sore today after his "adventure" on the ice. I'm perfectly fine with the coaching staff sparing Gaborik a hard skating 45 laps drill today. We need to bring him in game shape slowly, no hurry. That's just being careful. And like I said before, we know he can skate. Besides that, he's done all his strength tests off-ice.

i have a sneaking suspicion that Gabby wanted to steer clear of 'Camp Torturella'.

There's a huge difference between "sore" and "pulled"

Sore is no big deal.

The question is how truthful are the Rangers being about it and what the details are. If he's just sore it's not a big deal at all.

But he hasn't even been hit yet. So they have him working hard a little and he gets injured. I think he could only play hockey by himself where he doesn't have to run hard, or get hit that's when he's at his best, whenever all possible things that make hockey what it is are taken out of the equation.

I know it's nothing because a lot of posters assured me that he would be just fine because this surgery fixed everything.

His groin isn't going to be injured by getting hit

First of all whoever is panicing should just stop spreading negativity on this board. Lets think about this. A player who has had groin problems has a "Tweaked Groin" after a couple of informal skates. Lets forget the fact that he has not played hockey in a full 2-3 months. Forget about the fact that the rangers do not want to take any chances on a guy who is the source and will be the source of most of their goals. Oh yeah and the fact that torts is not a doctor and clearly shows thats its a minor tweak and nothing serious.... Lets just chyll

No, but his hip could.

I wouldn't read much into it at this point, but groin injuries tend to not go away. Shawn Bates can attest to this.

If you go back to when Rozsival was with the Pens he had a pretty serious injury history. If you go back, you will see Rozsival played one game in the 2003-2004 season. That was due to a very serious knee injury that caused him to miss pretty much the entire season. He then had surgery last offseason on his hip. That is 2 major surgeries, one of which caused him to miss an entire season. http://penguins.nhl.com/team/app?pag...8&service=page

Quote:
WHL East First All-Star Team (1998) Missed majority of 2003-04 season recovering from knee injury suffered in training camp, September 18, 2003. Signed as a free agent by Trinec (CzRep), September 17, 2004. Signed as a free agent by Pardubice (CzRep), January , 2005. Signed as a free agent by NY Rangers, August 29, 2005.
Gaborik has had 2 major surgeries on his 2 hips and he didnt even miss an entire season last year. Granted Rozsival has been much more healthy since coming to the Rangers but that is part of the reason the Rangers were okay with signing Gaborik, because Rozsival had the same surgery last offseason and, while it took some time, he was able to come back and play pretty well.

I think it is more precautionary than anything else, no need to over react until we collectively have all the facts in front of us.

Perhaps Gaborik does not want to go through Torture-rella. This is just speculation on a writers part. How does he know that the Rangers are not protecting the health of a major investment?

I would assume he's quoting what he was told by the Rangers. It doesn't really make sense any other way. If it was just Zipay speculatng, he would have said so. he's not really shy about stating opinions in his own blog

the question is again how much you believe what the Rangers are telling you.

I'm not sure what I find funnier, the number of people already saying the worst is here, or the the fact that people are already saying "I told you so."
