Time To Dream For The Leafs

One was age 34 and a bit folically challenged, the other wide-eyed and barely out of his teens.

But Jason Allison and Robert Slaney were both counting their blessings on the first day of Maple Leafs' training camp and intent on showing they can score.
This is what I love about training camp, especially this year's camp. Players all have a chance to show what they've got, and it's now time to polish potential diamonds in the rough. Players in such a situation have an even greater opportunity this year, with Burke saying no job is safe.

I like how this article shines some light on Slaney also.

I love this year. it's so uncertain.

I have no clue if we'll be a solid playoff team, or a typical 9-12th place team. So much to prove.

It's not like last year, where after Game #2 of the season, I gave up, haha...the opener against Detroit gave me a day or two of false hope. This year, I actually have some optimism, but we'll see.

6-1 loss to Montreal and the Jason Blake fist pump. Good times.

This leaf will have all the younge energy entertainment of last year, and the entertainment of some physical play as well.

Looking back, the Jason Blake fist pump was probably the highlight of the year. That and the draft....and beating teams like Pittsburgh, Montreal....etc...

This year I'm hoping for a surprise team, and some actual solid D and goaltending. I'm hoping for a breakthrough from Mr. Jiri Tlusty.

I'm also interested to see what Slaney can do.
