Lisin on the 4th is a waste, hopefully he finds a way to make things happen

I guess Lisin on the 4th means they want to balance the lines out a bit. I'd rather he be with PA and Boyle but what can ya do.

Other thoughts;

Grachev-Anisimov, I guess this is the combo everyone has been waiting to see.

With 2 D spots open, im going to be keeping a close eye on the defensemen tonight. Especially Gilroy, Sauer, and MDZ.

Who couldn't like a guy as goofy looking, tall, and with name like Maccarone?

got news for you IFFFFF lisin makes the team, he's going to be playing on the fourth line. prospal, gaborik, higgins, kotalik, avery, callahan are all top 9 wingers. there's no chance he's going to be taking one of their jobs as a top 9 winger for this club. that's why really i dont want to get my hopes up on grachev making the team because frankly there just isn't any room for him.

Lol probably a good move I feel Brashear would knock him back into reality.

And here we go with this organization completely mishandling yet ANOTHER highly skilled young player...

A crap shameful history with this Organization...

Lisin on the FOURTH line? With garbage players....

Wonderful Tortorella, great job giving him a fair shot.

And why am i not surprised to see Tortorella's lover, Callahan, in the top 6, when other guys need time to show what they got so they can make the team.

This will infuriate me all season long. Renney was terrible with line combinations... looks like Tortorella is too.

Look for Lisin to be completely ineffective tonight.... pisses me off.

Why does Sather bother acquiring skill players? He should just fill the team up with Petrovickys and Ortmeyers to satisfy Tortorella.

Frankly I'll beleive in Prospal when I see it - his play was far from sparkling last year. But for the most part I agree, which is why I'm worried that the Lisin/Korps trade will be yet another uselessly backwards deal with Phoenix.

While it's early in camp, I must say that it's looking like I agree. I don't get Sather's overall philosophy.

Sorry i don't bow down to the all-mighty-Tortorella.

Sather stole a highly skilled player that has the talent to score 60 points/year (lisin), in return for a defensive specialist in Korpikoski.

And he is not going to get a fair chance to do anything in this organization... it's a sad and plain fact.

And, i am entitled the express my frustration with that fact. It has happened here in NY for eons.

Its fine to express your frustration.....but they didn't even play yet....at least spare us until the game is over...i guarantee they don't play Lisin on the 4th line all game...pre season lines are for the first shift...then they change them up....have you ever watched pre season games before?

Personally imo I think Sather got him for top 9 purposes but when Prospal fell in their lap they jumped on it. Some one's gotta play the 4th line, and Torts even said your minutes are determined by your effort, so don't worry when Lisin gets his natural hat trick in 9 seconds he'll be getting top line minutes.

Call me gun shy from years of seeing perfectly good talent go to waste because of mismanagement.

Oh yea, real great to just give the guy (whose main knock is consistency) the ice time without having to earn it.

Is it really the end of the world to have the guy earn his ice time?

I'd rather get the guy who's going to be a reliable winger some quality pre season ice with the players he's going to play with most likely (Callahan) rather than the questionmark (Lisin) anyways. Worst thing that happens is the kid goes on fire shift after shift and makes the staff move him up.

Much worse that can happen if you start him at the top rather than at the bottom.

I love how Prucha's the worst name on that list, and he's probably the only one you can say we technically mismanaged. Not mismanagement if the guy can't play.

5/7 guys on that list are all-stars, no? What did we do wrong?
